About Us

The Chinese Language Teachers Association of Victoria, (CLTAV), is the Professional Association for Chinese Languages Teachers in Victoria as well as trainee Chinese Language Teachers in Victoria. Current membership is approximately 500. It was established in 1974.

The Association is made up of Chinese Language Teachers who work in Government, Independent, Catholic and Community Schools throughout Victoria. The CLTAV is affiliated with the Chinese Language Teachers' Federation of Australia (CLTFA).

It is traditional for teachers in the different sectors to exchange teaching and learning experiences. This is something that the CLTAV actively encourages. The CLTAV also maintains close and regular contact with other Chinese Language Teacher Associations in other States of Australia.
